danielA bit about me:

I graduated from UCLA with a dual undergraduate degree in Jewish history and Cognitive science, and continued on at UCLA to receive a Master’s degree in comparative religion. During this time, I completed rabbinical school and received my rabbinical ordination (Smicha). I am currently the Director of Jewish Student Life and Learning at Orange County Hillel.

I started this blog a few years ago as I became increasingly disenchanted with Orthodox Judaism, but since then it has evolved into much more. Here, I discuss my views on Jewish practice, religion, philosophy, and lately politics and psychology.

As I spend hours a week writing and maintaining this blog, if you appreciate the work please consider making a small donation on my Patreon page HERE!

Also, there is nothing I enjoy more than when readers of this blog reach out to me with questions, comments, or suggestions so please do not hesitate to email me at dlevine21@gmail.com.

Thanks for reading!
